As an employer you still have a duty of care to your staff wherever they are working. This guide is for the managers/supervisors of staff who are or have been working from home due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
It could also be a useful tool for HR managers to help staff at various levels help each other.
Stress, including work-related stress, can be a significant cause of illness and is known to be linked with high levels of sickness absence, staff turnover and can also cause an increase in workplace errors.
Mental health charities have seen a large increase in the amount of people asking for help over the past couple of months, this well-being plan is designed to help people understand the stresses and strains that affect their mental health whilst at work – even though the workplace is their home.
What is a mental health well-being plan? It is a guide designed to help us develop an awareness of how we work, the triggers that cause us stress ( mainly at work but also in other areas of our lives) and the responses the stress brings out – in other words, how we react, and enables us to communicate these to our supervisor/manager.
